Magical Miniatures

If you love all things magical and miniature you are in the right place.

About me and my blog

I am a mother of three and work on a market stall. In my free time I love to make magical miniatures. It all started with my gran who spent hours when I was a child teaching me how to make do. This entailed mending and fixing and making things from scratch. My dolls house consisted of cardboard boxes with windows cut out, beautifully decorated and all furniture hand made. We sat for hours making clothes and accessories for my dolls to the envy of my friends that all had the same generic stuff. So thanks gran for the inspiration. I hope you enjoy my art and my blog. Thanks for visiting.

1.12 Scale tarot cards, fallen plant pot and hanging crystals.

                                                       Tarot cards
For a while now I have wanted to make some 1.12 scale tarot cards, so I scanned in a few from my spare deck, re sized then printed onto card.
I stuck some patterned paper to the back then cut them out.
I am going to make some little boxes to pop them in then they will be all done.

Fallen pot
For a scene I intend to make I wanted a plant pot that had fallen over so I mixed some fake dirt and a touch of moss with pva glue then situating the pot on some cling film I spread in the mixture. It turned out quite well as my partner thought i'd knocked it over as it lay on the side.

Hanging crystals (not miniature)
I could not resist showing you the two hanging crystals I put together. All though a little naughty as they are not miniature! I think they are very pretty. I started with just a crystal and the rest came from my bead box. The golden one has amber beads and the silver has Hematite and cut glass beads. Hanging in the window they will cast rainbows all around your room.

Mock up Tarot card box
I have put together (a little clumsily) a tarot card box, just to make sure I was happy with the look and size. I think I am so all I have to do now is make 3 perfect ones!
